Ski jumping has a very long tradition in Zakopane - the Wielka Krokiew ski jump was built already in 1925 and it is still one of the most beautiful natural ski jumps in the world. The extraordinary popularity of ski jumping in Poland began in 1996, when Adam Małysz won the World Cup competition for the first time. The greatest period of his career is called Małyszomania.
