Zakopane BUS & TRAIN STATIONS

.:The bus and railway stations are located at Chramcówki 35 Street and are the main parts of the Communication Center (Centrum Komunikacyjne), which also includes a Tourist Information office, a large luggage storage area, lockers for smaller items, a restaurant, a waiting room, toilets, showers, and, of course, ticket offices. MINIBUS TRANSPORT in Zakopane

.:The most popular form of transport between Zakopane and the surrounding villages (Kościelisko, Witów, Chocholow, Poronin, Murzasichle, Bialka and Bukowina Tatrzańska, etc.) are local minibuses, owned by several small transport companies. Minibuses stop at bus stops, of which there are about 50 in Zakopane. Each stop has a timetable and a legenda (on the pic.)- a detailed description of all the markings on the timetable. The description is only available in Polish, but I'm sure the Polish tourists waiting at the bus stop will be happy to help decipher the markings.

TAXI, UBER, BOLT in Zakopane

.:There are several taxi companies operating in Zakopane and several taxi stands in all popular places in Zakopane. There are also Bolt and Uber drivers in Zakopane but in high season their prices can be higher than taxis's. When stopping a taxi directly on the street, it is worth asking first how much the driver will charge for the transfer.

HORSE transport in Zakopane

.:In Zakopane you can order horse-drawn transport - most often by horse-drawn carriage, sometimes also by sleigh. Here are some of my tips for tourists: 1. if there is very little snow on the roads, choose a horse-drawn carriage, not a sleigh. The horse will thank you :) 2. before you get into the carriage or sleigh, fix with the coachman length and price of the ride 3. the most pleasant sleigh rides are organized in the Chocholowska valley - you can order them online here sleigh rides in Chocholowska Valley.
tourist dragging the suitcase in the snow

My advice for winter travelers

From December to March, sidewalks in Zakopane are covered with snow. If you came to Zakopane with a suitcase on wheels and your accommodation is more than 500 m from the station - you'd better catch a taxi because dragging the suitcase in the snow will get you very tired and you may damage the wheels.
